Keeping Up with Swimming Spa Care Using Spa Chemicals

Owning a swimming spa can be fun and exciting. However, keeping up with the swimming spa care and chemicals may seem overwhelming at first. In fact, you may even think about hiring a pool expert to tend to your swimming spa. However, there are many swimming spa supplies and accessories available for you to use when taking your own swimming spa care and chemicals into your own capable hands.

Before you begin, it’s important for you to properly determine what swimming spa cleaning supplies you need. Obviously, you will need to purchase basic supplies like nets (to hand clean the surface of the pool). Stiff bristle brushes and cleansers can easily help you clean the sides of the spa.

Information on what tools are best used on your particular swimming spa often comes to you via the installers at the swimming spa installation. The manufacturer usually gives you a booklet on what types of tools and cleaners you should use on your specific brand of swimming spa.

In addition to cleaning the swimming spa, swimming spa care also includes the use of swimming spa chemicals. Common swimming spa chemical products include sanitizers, algaecide, stabilizers, balancers and shock products.

If even one chemical is imbalanced in your swimming spa, it can harm swimmers or cause damage to your heating, filtering or pumping system. Remember, an ideal pool pH level should be between 7.4 and 7.6. Thus, it’s important for you to research and find out what you need to add to your pool to gain the best pH levels and water clarity.
