It is no surprise to see the repercussions of the recent recession in various avenues of everyday life, like closure of once thriving malls, theaters, restaurants, swimming pools, in the form of closure and temporary cessation of operation. People are so used to these happenings now that nothing comes as a big shocker to them and have learnt to take these things in their stride.

The city of Phoenix is contemplating closure of certain state-owned swimming pools in the current season on account of budget constraints. The authorities have endeavored to plan the closures in such a way that no one particular area is totally affected. Moreover, certain pools are in need of immediate renovation lie the Falcon which was need of urgent repair since the storm in last August.

As per Parks and Rec, this kind of closure will be rotated from this year onwards as economy measure as well as for renovation, improvements, and maintenance. A closure is in the offing for these pools; Coronado, Cortez, Falcon, Mountain View, Perry, Roosevelt, Roadrunner, and also starlight. The remaining pools will operate for shorter durations on a slightly hiked fee.
